Clear
Fresh transparency
Life
Deep revival
You submerge
Baptised
To the past
Threads of decision
Leading to this moment
Path crossed by
Friends, parents, celebration,
Pain
Your line with the cross
Meshed in a love sacrifice
Entwined in a resurrection power
You rise a witness
To Christ's passion
For this world
His desires cross your heart
Water of life, your heart deepens
Power of life, your voyage confidence.

Impossible?

Counting
way too impossible,
Sand on the beach
Pebbles in the universe,
The problems...
my work
the world,
time eaten,
masked chaos,
The giants puff nothing
but seem to rule my life.

Now searing sand
Heat Waves in the desert
baked dry
I stumble,
purpose parched,
Inward intense,
Loser lost,
Stuck in a loop.

"Oh God,"
I cry
for your forgiveness,
I need
Your possible.

And then my eyes discover
shimmering somehow singing...
a distant oasis
that Jumps closer,
God calls
from its depths,
I am the water
I am the bread
I am the life
I am heaven's kingdom closer
I am the birth
I am the Spirit
I am your Saviour
I am your well spring
I am.

There in the cross
locked oasis deep,
a Jesus relationship
a worship,
in tune with the Saviour;
a well that streams
flows living water,
My spirit connects
to the holy,
God present with me,
And I dwell deep
loved infinitely, completely,
in the smile of God
in the eyes of God.

Something has shifted,
Released, freed
seeing the Lord bigger,
Who pours
His joy welling
flooding Soul deep,
Overtaking
Overwhelming
Overflowing.

The water that
wells connecting, calling
deep to deep,
Dance with Him
Dance in the
River,
The water that
wells connecting, calling
deep to deep,
Flow
in the river,
The water that
wells connecting, calling
deep to deep,
waiting, resting and
found in the Lord,
The water that
wells connecting, calling us
deep to deep,
To be the water of life
As mirroring waters
flowing, flooding God's glory
To the city
To the Earth.

I am released,
Chaos turned
Chains torn
Changed times

I am opened
Life renewed
Love refreshed
Lifted refugee

I am eternal
Forgiven sins
Freeing saviour
Final satisfaction

I am His
Growing disciple
Grace deliverer
Gift delights

I will celebrate
Dance liberated
Deeper lifeblood
Desires live

I will celebrate
Heart forever
Heaven forward
Highest family

I will worship
Cosmic Lamb
Creative Lover
Christ Lord.

In the heat
burned a mistake,
toxic
yet strangely cold,
Wounded
Cut,
Despairing,
Agonised,
Retreating from the real,
Unconnected,
life suicidal,
alone.

Could there be more?
What do you really want?

I am the Lord,
I demonstrated
an incredible
poured out love,
Christ, my Son
who died
for you,
For your past, present, future;

Oh, how I love you.

And you will be
...will be...
transplanted, born anew
Deeply cherished
Highly favoured
You will be rooted;
immersed into God,
established in
wider, higher, deeper
extravagant, endless love,
fresh life saturated
In Living water,
A revelation
of the infinite power
streaming to your spirit,
cascades of
Holy Spirit,
flooding immersive
your soul.
Rooted in Jesus as Lord.

Never doubt...
Open
to Him,
Make
Him Lord and King,
Place
Him first.

Be close
in Him, Blossom,
Be ready
to change,
Be loved
deeply, completely
Be overflowing
with love,
Be close, so close
to the Lover,
Be aware
in the pain,
Be powerful
in your innermost depths,
Be burning
fire spirit of God,
Be energised
joyful action,
Be strong
in the truth,
Be curious
seek the questions,

living harmony in community,
Be soaked
in the Word of God,
Be Communion

Your love
both a whisper
and a roar,
Eternally true,
forever risking
bubbling light
reassurance deep
infusing peace
cascading wild,
Leading my heart.

Your hand
takes,
cares,
Calms our fears,
Friend,
Saviour.

Transparent
Life alive
Water's crystal essence
is amazing!
Our planet dot spins
in a vast dry galaxy
Yet
water the same
today
on Earth
as yesterday’s
dinosaurs drank.

As we drink,
Water so vital
to life's fabric
we wonder
the beginning... God
Vital to life's fabric
Unchangeable
Sustaining,
And then in Time’s flow...Christ
Living water
Surface walker
Thirst shaker

And then the promise...
“You
Will never thirst again.”

Desert suns
sear the future,
Too hot
life stands on shifting sands
Too sharp
heat binds the lungs,
Yet a coldness somehow
cloys the heart,
Where can I be that life is found?
How will I do more than survive?

A mirage shimmers
Life just seems fake.

Cracked lips
cry out ,
"Where are you God?"

In faith
seeing nothing
I stumble another step
I scrabble over
endless tops,
the next sand ridge
pours through
my sun seared encrusted fingers
and another image appears
is the real - fake
or the fake - real?

I stumble, sliding
down rivers of sand time
towards the green,
metamorphosing tree outlines,
an oasis,
a whole world's tip
like an iceberg of life
from underneath
this scorched world I am in.

How did I not know
God was in the desert?
A deep pool, cool, powerful life
Underground
There all the time
Water, bubbling, gushing
Extreme.

Through eyes half blind
I see water flowing to the surface,
singing to my soul,
Surrounding, penetrating
so real,
green life afresh.

A call
to drink deep,
to know an intimacy
of Christ in me,
A depth of love.
Refreshed.
Released.
