Human nature
Scars and beauty,
Seeping decay
Shadows across Earth's face
Living to rescue one moment
Suicide bomb hate the next.

Life suffers:
In death, luxury, instant world,
focus on the me,
Fear, Pain
I am right!

But there was a suffering
A history eternity moment
Connecting
Earth to life,
Us to pure love
Us to the judge,
to hope
to freedom.
Us to God.
A faith to live for,
Beyond the Earth
Beyond an expanding universe
Beyond everyday, today and tomorrow.

Live this life
Love the rescue
of your soul.

My spirit
Extol
Ever praise
The One
Highest above,
You are
The Great I Am,
Beyond time,
Jesus
Adored Lord,
Worthy
Complete
Wholeness and Truth,
I worship You
In the hardness of the cross
In the love of the cross
In the joy of the cross
In the power of the cross
In the moment of the cross.
Here and now

I worship you
Here and now.

steel girders
Comfortable chairs
Walls safe
Thick concrete
Reinforcing a sameness,
Step to a window
Press nose to cold
See the night,
Moonlight reflections
Of the Son
Lift my soul,
One rock
That spins in space
Crying out,
Dark in itself,
Catching the light
Reverberates
Life of the universe.

circles of praise,
Worship
of God

Omega.

Worship
changes the soul
challenges
Holy Spirit whispers
centering towards Jesus
Who is he?

Where do you stand
kneel, hang
before his cross?

Where do you hide?
Retreat, ignore, block,
threaten, plead
before his resurrection?

How will you respond
to his love,
call, questions?

He could of come alive
with a new body.

As Incredible power burned death,
Universe fabric was turned,
Chaos reconstructed
into new realms of infinity.
Jesus rose, alive.

But his love
Is such
That his body is still scarred
Perfect love
with the scars of pain,
holes of suffering.

Not a good look.

But does God care
about the outward,
about being the fashion,
the image, the thin fake?
In pouring out his soul
God's love knows you
The real depths of you
inside hidden thoughts,
cloaked habits.

Put your hand in the wound
The amazing scar and see,
Touch.
Respond to this love,
Reality.

Call like Thomas,
"My Lord, my God"

snatches seen through grime.
hope's beginning
given love complete
helpless born
healing, challenging, friend
dark death cross
times claw suspended,
leapt to life,
defeated sin,
immortal payment
for you.

Jesus Indestructible

power forever,
He holds
final key
eternities pathway
hope complete.

Laughed
Skinned knees

Soul-mates, misunderstandings
Compassion entwined
Its roots in his soul
So deep
His fate sealed
In His love,
Carried Him
To the cross
To hang
World’s reality,
To stand
through time
In the gap
Death to life.

What is a life worth?
What was the point?

He hangs
Pain-wracked body
Two others
Either side
One sneers, "save yourself"
tries to bribe
The other sees through
crown of thorns
Asks to be remembered,
How can this happen
In moments from death
That the world
is on the cross?
People just like us stand, lean, sit, hide,
Doubters, scared, irritated, haters, spectators.

Jesus front and centre
Speaks his mission
Not just facing death
But loving to the end
Sharing his life
In his suffering
Talking truth
"Surely you will be with me"
A day of grief, pain, mission,
Power, peace, hurts, friendship, loneliness

Jesus
The boy who once
Skinned his knees
Dies -
Not the end!

God cannot stay
On the cross
in a tomb
A resurrection
passion has been born
Fire burning
through generations,
Experiencing fully human
Truly alive.

His defeat of death
To bring God's
Love
Freedom
Real life
Justice
Story
Imagination
To places, to people.

Dawn rises
quietly
on the sculpture
of broken life
cooling on cross silhouettes
to the grey weathered sky.

Stilled watchers
caught
in clotted grief,
Battle hardened soldier
still surprised
by God thoughts,
Hidden hate forces
celebrating
in won astonishment,
Father's Spirit
separation anguish.
Ashes to ashes
grace to death
sin's soul sacrifice

The curtain
has not fallen -
it is torn!
